I’ve been listening to the new Fun. album while studying.
What the fun.
It’s so different. Apart from the first intro track, it sounds like I just listened to a Jason Derulo album.
When I first heard “We Are Young” a while ago, I thought, “Okay, so they’re doing a little slight experimentation with some R&B sounds… I still dig it.”
Nope. They dove headfirst into it. It’s really upsetting.
I guess it’s because their last album was so amazing, and had such variety. Plus, one of the main reason I loved them is because they were so sad, and that really came through lyrically. I’m really not into the whole optimism thing they’re doing now.
It sounds like Timbaland took Aim and Ignite and remixed it.
Very Disappointing.
